 MiniThreads

AVR Mini Threads: a nanoKernel for the AT90S1200

A powerful way to do a cooperative multitasking with the AVR AT90S1200. You can do a "wait" to go sleep and wait for a signal, or send a signal to wake up another thread. Give a look at the code, it's an interesting code example.
Some examples based on MiniThreads:

 CARACA

CARACA: the free home automation projectCAN Remote Automation and Control with the AVR

CARACA: The free home automation project

It's a network of small control units called NODE that fits in standard domestic socket due to small dimensions. The protocol is based on the robust and reliable CANBus. With CARACA you can mesure temperature, switch on/off appliances, control by commercial Ir remote units, log all events to file and control everything by a internet connection. By the way a lot of new features will be added in the future.

The project is opensource and hosted by SourceForge. Anyone want to contribute by developing or testing is welcome.

 AMPEOS

Educational operating system based on a PDP-11 emulator.
I started porting AMPEOS to some real architectures like the i386 and the H8/300. If you are interested send me a mail. Unfortunately documentation and all the comments are only available in italian language.
